today's teachers' day celebration was fantastic.
everything went on so well.
thank you everyone who helped.
especially it/ava people, kim poh and all the civics reps.
one thing that was rather disturbing was that not all councillors actually participated in this event.
you guys joined council for a reason, but suddenly that reason disappeared.
so are we going to treat you like you disappeared as well?
but the thing is we can't.
once you're in this family, i doubt you can ever get out, until next year's handover.
so since you in it already, please do your part.
don't act like nothing's happening, because it is.
and don't be so self-centered.
some councillors slog their hearts out just for council.
but then, where are you?
when they stay back late at night just to put up decorations, where are you? at home, enjoying your sleep or doing hmwk, which every single councillor wished they had time for it too.
so please, do your part.
since you've chosen this path, walk that road.
don't turn back halfway, because whenever you look back, you'll fall.
and sometimes, you'll never be able to stand up again.
